Oz DAO
Proposals decided by the Oz Community via OZT Governance Tokens
Major decisions are made by the DAO through voting with the governance tokens (OZT).
Oz Council Members
The Oz Council is voted in by members and serve terms of 3 years, after which they will have to be voted in again. Oz community can also vote to remove council members during their terms if they are not performing up to expectations. Council members manage the day to day and submit proposals for voting.
Proposal: Ecozones & Investment
The community gets to make major decisions like which ecozones to partner with and what type of investments Oz should make into an ecozone through voting. The community can also propose the countries they are most interested in for the council to approach.
Ownership of Treasury
The community owns the Treasury, and every governance token is a piece of the Treasury. All profits accrued from the business of Oz is deposited into the treasury and as the treasury grows over time, so too does the value of each individual governance token.
Disband & Refund
Ultimately, as a DAO, the Treasury is owned by the Community, and they can vote to disband the DAO and refund all the assets in the Treasury back to all token holders. Each token is entitled to ONE vote and at any time, the OZT governance tokens can be sold between parties.
